I just picked up this book as I read all over the internet that its the best place for a beginner on C++ (zero experience), I have to learn C++ for various reasons, but to the point.
I got to chapter 3, understood everything fine, but he starts telling us to do exercises that require things that are used later in the book. I spent the past 6 hours trying to figure one out, to no avail. Now, I don't think I need 'programming help', but more of guidance help. Is there a different book I should be starting on? Or can I just 'try' the exercises and not complete them if I just can't figure them out, and move on?
